My name is Rebecca Beleutz and I am a 29-year-old, trilingual(English, Spanish & French),  Canadian multidisciplinary artist and alumni from the Studio Art program at the University of Guelph.

I began drawing from a very young age and mainly started drawing portraits. They started out as animated characters which slowly transformed into a love for a more realistic style.

Although I started mainly in the discipline of drawing; painting, sculpture and photography are all part of my artistic practice. I am constantly looking to learn to work in new mediums and expand my creative practice. 

My current body of work is inspired by magic moments in life (glimmers) that evoke wonder and curiosity in me: like the way the sun interacts with our world, casting refractions and shadows, altering our reality. I am painting from photos I have taken in life of these special moments, to reproduce these small instants of peace, nostalgia and otherworldliness.
